Q.I have just arrived in Japan and I want to learn Japanese.

A.Japanese language classes run by Volunteers are held in all areas of the prefecture, including Kokusai Hiroba. For details, please see Japanese Classes for Foreigners.

Q.I can't speak much Japanese. Can I reiceive consultation in a language other than Japanese?

A.At the Global Life Support Center you can consult in English, Chinese and Tagalog. Consultations for foreigners at the Kokusai Hiroba include human rights counseling in English and visa procedures counseling in English and Chinese. Q.I am a foreigner and I have work related issues. Is there anyone I can consult?

A.You can consult at the Kokusai Hiroba Foreigner Consultation or the Global Life Support Center telephone consultation line. For details, please see Consultation for Foreigners

Q.I am a foreigner looking for work in Fukuoka, are you able to refer me ?

A.The Hello Work Fukuoka Chuo Office’s Foreigner Employment Service Corner provides introductions to jobs and consultations on work related issues. Additionally, the Fukuoka International Student Support Center provides part-time work and post graduate job searching support for foreign students.

Q.I have problems with my international marriage. Is there anybody I can consult?

Q.Are there any hospitals that offer services in foreign languages?

A.The Fukuoka Prefecture Medical Center website allows you to search for medical institutions that offer services in specific foreign languages.

Q.Is there any way I can get information in a foreign language on living in Japan?

A.The Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR) website has necessary information for foreigners regarding living in Japan in 13 different languages (17 categories).
