Convention Outline

 This was the 8th time the Worldwide Convention was held, returning to the home prefecture for the first time in 12 years. In addition to Kenjinkai made up of emigrants and their descendants, this Convention also reached out to those consisting of staff of various businesses residing overseas, and was attended by members of 26 Kenjinkai from 16 foreign countries/regions. Beginning with the 'Commemorative Ceremony', the Convention included various events such as the 'Hometown Visit' - an opportunity for participants to visit the areas of their roots - a showcase of foreign cultures at the 'Overseas Kenjinkai Fair', as well as youth and business seminars. On the final day of the Convention, the 'Fukuoka Declaration' was announced, bringing together opinions exchanged at the Representatives Meeting
